Product Design

In both my personal projects and studio courses I have had the oppurtunity to design several traditional products. These projects have allowed me to develop a strong sense of the design process and how to use it.

Research Methods

One of my favorite classes I have taken at Georgia Tech has been a user-centered design course. In this course I learned different design research methods and completed two group projects where we explored these different methods. This taught me a lot about how and when to conduct research and observation which I have incorporated into my design process.

ABOUT ME

WHO AM I

Third year at Georgia Tech studying Industrial Design, originally from North Carolina.

My background

While in high school I worked as an apprentice at a custom furniture shop. This job is what pushed me to pursue industrial design as a career. At Georgia Tech I realized there was so much more to the design process than just making the final product. I have continued to pursue my love for fabrication and manufacturing by working at the Digital Fabrication Lab. Although my background is primarily in fabrication work, my coursework at Georgia Tech has brought me a deep love of the design process, especially research driven and user-centered design.

My approach

I am extremely driven by curiosity and wanting to learn new things. My fascination with all design leads me to be deeply invested in each part of the design process from research to manufacturing.
